ASSET TAGGING

Asset tagging is the process of labelling commercial business assets to effectively and accurately identify them for;

• Financial reporting
• Location tracking
•  Maintenance management,
• Loss prevention
• Fixed asset register reconciliation purposes.

Information contained on the asset tag consist of a human readable number and corresponding barcode. The barcode number can be generic, sequential or dedicated numbers pre-allocated to reflect unique asset register or maintenance register numbers.

Although cost is always a deciding factor, in our extensive experience, aluminium tags with chemical adhesive outlast all other types of tags. The tag we prefer is made of food grade aluminium engraved with the appropriate number. We prefer a tag with a peel-off acetone adhesive as these are virtually impossible to remove.

As mentioned, Information displayed on the asset tag can be generic or pre-printed displaying the required information with the company logo.
